Hello, I just created my first model in OpenSCAD that I cobbled together from researching OpenSCAD on the internet.

This is a tv adapter that I wish to be able to print on my 3d printer - after cutting it down to fit. But at the moment I need help getting the holes to go thru the diamond plate. I put the holes in the first cross piece, then duplicated it with no problem. But when I added the diamond plate for support in the middle, the holes filled in. I don't know how to make them go thru the whole model.

Any help would be appreciated.

I find the easiest way to do this is to have a master body and holes function.
Like this...

// This creates the object
// Renders the object and punches the holes
module main()
// The solid hull
module body()
// All the code for the solid hull goes in here

// Holes!
module holes()
// All the code for holes or bits to remove goes here

The parts look okay from my looking at Adapter7,,, Print it with the hex cutouts facing up...
But it should print from what I can tell..

Union your cross pieces and plate, then difference the holes.
