Braille Printing Tips:
When 3D printing braille, it is best to do it vertically opposed to horizontally. When a printer forms dots on a flat surface, the extruder tends to just plop the plastic in the places of the dots. Thus, the dots come out ugly and rough. When braille is printed vertically however, the dots are made in better layers. As a result, they form better looking and smoother dots.
