This seems to be a 40mm to 60mm adapter - not the other way around per the part description.

The difference is the counter sunk screw heads are on the wrong side - at least to mount to the exhaust fan outlet on a CR10 control box. im not even sure that longer screws would fix it - since then they would get caught in the fan. I think the countersinks need to be changed.

Good part to install the noctua 60mm inside. great job ;)
