This is a cover that goes over an upgraded power supply for my Anet A8 printer. The cover is attached to the PSU with a pair of computer case screws. The switch fits snugly into the cover and is attached with some more screws. This file is designed for the two specific components below and may not fit on other, similar parts.

Fused Power Switch

This upgrade was added to make my Anet A8 safer. I've put together a video describing all of my safety upgrades here: https://youtu.be/MzWVrv4L1R0

Thanks you. I printed this, flipped upside down and mirror flipped. I had to print it upside down to get it to work for me (but I'm new to this). The mirror flip allowed the power cable to be plugged in at the back of the machine.

Thanks..I made this and it fits great with the upgraded power supply. It took a few attempts but I finally built it upside down on a raft to save time/filament. Worked out great.

Could you please tell me the sizes of the screws you used

I love this! And your youtube channel, which is how I found this. One suggestion, flip the Switch hole so the plug is farther from the front. It would be easier to reach the switch without the plug in the way.

Hey Bill! I found your video extremely helpful and I'm using it as a guide to getting my Anet upgraded. I printed this part out and i've been running into some issues with the clearance for wires. Seems like the wires on my switch don't leave a lot of room for the connections to the power terminals. If the screw hole for the power supply would move up at least 7mm I would be golden. I'll attempt to remix the file but i'm just giving a heads up. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

I ran in to the same issue and I think the reason we have clearance issues and he doesn't is that he soldered the connections to the switch and I (and I'm guessing you) am using the spade crimp connectors. I'm looking around to find a cover that just raises the screw holes up a few mm which should then provide enough clearance.

Looking great and just what I was looking for. Thanks! Once I've got it printed I'll upload some pics. Just out of interest - what do you design this in? I use Sketchup but having real difficulties with the angles...?
