Case for Let's Split v2 PCB.
Both MX and Alps switches compatible.

You will need:

  • 8x M2 5mm standoffs
  • 8x M2 6mm screws

I bought standoffs from Aliexpress
You may have to sand the holes to put standoffs in (depending on your printer).

Build log here.

I noticed in your build log that you soldered the diodes on the top side of the PCB. What is the thickness of the top plate/section of your case design? Most tuts/logs I've read have said to mount diodes topside if plate is 3mm or less... otherwise mount on bottom side. I want to make sure I place the diodes in the most optimal way.

The thickness is 3mm, designed to solder diodes on topside of PCBs.

Cool, thanks for the quick reply! I just saw you listed a new design! Super clean. I'm going to try to assemble one with your new design over the next week.

Great! Glad you like that design.

I have noticed in the build log that you are using ALPS/Matias switches. Did you also get the keycaps from matias? I just love the matias switches but it is very hard to get compatible hardware - mostly keycaps :)

Yes, these blank keycaps are from Matias. I wish there are more Alps/Matias keycaps available. Couldn't find DVORAK keycaps.

Are m3 screws too big for this? Gonna use thread inserts. I don't know how big the screw holes are in the pcb

The holes on the case are too small for M3 screws. I recommend using M2 screws.

Wow - that is a very clean design, looks very solid. Nice work, thanks for sharing!

I’m so glad at this nice comment! Thank you. Hope you like
