Can I ask... Is there any way of doing special characters like these? éêë

Not without updating the Hershey font library to include these characters.

Ok thanks. Not a big issue.

This is awesome! Thanks so much! Christmas gifts galore:-)

I cant get the customizer to work - I get the following error:

/usr/local/bin/openscad/openscad: error while loading shared libraries: libCGAL.so.10: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I need 2 names on 2 lines or levels. a name above and below, can you help me?

You could make two and merge them in meshmixer.

provo meshmixer

I have no idea how to create in OpenSCAD So I'll ask, is it possible to have a backing plate for the letters? Some letter combos make an inherently fragile keychain..

I would love to have this but with a round oval backing to them so the keychain will be a much longer lasting one! Love the concept though, pretty damn cool =]

It could certainly be done, but it won't look as good, unless you print in two colors. It would also require adding a text-size measurement feature to my Hershey library that works with the minimum-spacing feature.

My suggestion is to increase the letter squish parameter and/or the line width to increase strength.

I was planning on hand painting it. I can print in two colors but it's easier to hand paint them in someone's favorite colors, thought it would be a nice gift =]

I also cannot update it in Customizer. It always says NAME

Oops! I accidentally reverted the fix for this bug. I fixed it again, and it works now.

Cool. Thanks!

Doesn't work for a name starting with a capital T - the ring is floating, completely detached :(
So Thomas, Terry, Tony, Toni, etc. etc.

The new version should work even better with the capital T.

Try increasing line width. And all caps.

It looks really nice, but for me it doesn´t work in the customizer nor in the scad not even rendering it always says NAME.... some one else with the same problem... or its just me

Good catch. Fixed, I think, now.

Nice, working perfect now, thanks
