Evoking the idea of a wave, this bowl is essentially a simple bowl shape, split, parts rotated, and finally stuck back together.
The base of the bowl has extreme overhangs, that most people will need supports to handle. I used 3 or 4 processes in this print; very thin (0.1) layers for the bottom 4 layers, then thicker (0.2) for the next 9mm, and finally 0.3mm after that. The fan was left on for the duration of the print to bring about an opaque, foamy look to the end result. Up to 9mm (the completion of the internal base of the bowl, I used a 15mm infill, and after that 0% infill.
Remove support. i used the same material for the print and support (PLA), so pliers were required, though most simply broke away.
A cigarette lighter, used carefully, can also help smooth and rough edges that remain at the lower side. Apply very carefully, very short burst, very close, and quickly smooth over with your thumb.
