Summary

DJI Spark Gimbal cover.

I wanted to design a cover purely for my own enjoyment. I wanted something functional, but that looked and felt better than the square ones already on here.

I came up with this, after about 6 revisions, it is where you see it now.

It is formed to the body nicely, it clips in behind the gimbal to the main body and holds on,
it also covers the lower sensors too.

Enjoy!

Print Settings

Printer:

Anycubic Plus

Rafts:

No

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

60

Notes:

Printed in ABS to ensure strength, PLA is ok too, but it might be a bit weak, Can also print in TPU if your printer is dialed in correctly.

PETG would be an alternative to ABS, although as it is brittle, it may crack where the clips are.

Another problem: I already had the second gimball cover, her clamping ears broke. They are very thin and the layers in this direction are much weaker.

My advice is to print on the long side. Thanks to the supports, more material is needed, but small tabs are harder to break.

Hi guys!

There is indeed a small print-fitting error. This is easy to repair: rotate the model on the X-axis -0.3 degrees and that's it!

Fits perfectly, well designed.
Thanks

Perfect !
Made mine with TPU and it fits like a glove.

Great..fit perfectly on my spark..I hope you can spawn this into gimbal protector something like this. I can work with only square design..this design uses curve that I'm not good at.

Can you make a version without the DJI logo? Having issues with it being single layer on my printer.

Nice work! Fits perfectly. What software did you use to design it? Just curious on the process. Thanks again.

Loving this cover - it's been reliable and looks great! One tiny suggestion: can you reformat the file to have the flat surface down? Although it's trivial to rotate it on the printing software, it would save one step for users and avoid questions about how to print.

Done. Thanks for the remarks, really apreciate the feedback

Fab top work here this will be my next print

Thanks again

No worries, Hope you enjoy

You crushed this. Nice work!

Thanks for the comment. Much appreciated

Thanks for this! It fits the Spark perfectly and stays on. Nicely and professionally designed.

Suggest correcting spelling of "gimbal" so people can find it!

Thanks for the comments, I appreciate it.

And i dont know why i didn't pick up on that. I have changed it.

Thanks again

How do you print upside-down ?

obviously you rotate it
you need to orient it for your printer
