This is a custom cover and output vent for the BCN3D Sigma, to replace the stock white metal covers which go over the hotend assembly.
For those conscious about weight, these are about 14g, compared to the stock metal ones being about 33g, not including screws/fans etc.
Uses Stock Fans, and all the metal framing around the stock hotends, and Stock bolts.
You will however need and additional 2x M3 x 12 bolts, to hold the output vent onto the main cover.
You can use the 3 main fan bolts to bolt the fan back on, leaving 1 bolt hole unpopulated, or alternatively use 1 of the stock bolts in the top corner which holds this cover to the metal frame, and the other 3 bolts are additional M3 x 16. This is optional though, as the 3 stock bolts work fine, just protrude through a little bit.
Main fan needs to be unplugged from the fan PCB, which just involves removing the back plastic cover, and unplugged it, threading it through and plugging it back in again.
Best printed upside down with a small support.
Vent is best printed so the flat output face is down.
You will need to rotate the STL's to suit.
I printed these in ABS so they would stand up to hotend temperatures for a decent amount of time. PLA may be fine, but I have not tried it. If using the fans, then the plastic should not get too warm at all.
High detail STL's included.
If you need lower detail, let me know.
Best printed in ABS or some other temperature resistant material.
Supports are best for the main body, so the section which mounts the top of the hotend is nice and flat. Print upside down.
Output vents are best printed so the output side which is flat, is on the bed, and the screw holes are on an angle upward. No support is required for these.
