I'm still trying to create the first 3D printed power piston on all my failures :-D But it never worked :-( I hope to win one day.

Great project thank you!,
however I couldnt make it run, I guess there is a leak which i havent figure out in where because I cant make any movement on the latex glove. I cant find the lids you used so I choosed using jar lids which I'am sure is not made of steel. Do u think that may be the problem?

thanks!

As long as the lids are metal you will be OK. It could be you have the diaphragm too tight. You have to get it to move when the engine is paced on hot water and displacer moved up and down. it can only be an air leak or too tight diaphragm that will prevent this.
You could try assembling just the the lids and cylinder and fit a tube to the pencil top, blow down the tube with the assembly under water. This will show any leak as bubbles.

Thanks for quick reply,
I haven't figure out what caused the leak. Anyway, I re-constructed whole parts and flywheel now turns without problem. Though, its not reliable as much as yours due to some friction on the wheel. I gotta admit, it doesn't easy project as it seems at first.. But I had really fun I really like it!

Thank you again for sharing!

Awesome project.....
Mine works great!

Very cool. I was just thinking it would be really cool to have the device geared in such a way that it would turn a small stirrer for mixing whatever hot beverage you might have in the mug.

Would it be possible to have a customized file? Where we can enter the lid size, and have all the parts scale to fit.
(I do not have access to the same candy tins you do). LOL

I have covered what to do for different sizes of lid in the build notes here https://youtu.be/ri_xSrEnjDY
