Summary

I needed some quick 1:24 figures, and these are the only full figure scans with open licenses I could find on thingiverse. I did some editing for clarity, printability and suitability for my purposes.

Instructions

Each figure is approx 70mm high, which is 5'-6" in 1/2"=1'-0" scale. Scale as necessary for your use. All print fine without support.

Printed and they look great.

Thanks for these...Been needing some 1:24s for architectural models. These are perfect!

I think I like these better than the originals... tho I don't know why.

A little cleanup goes a long way - and since I've had my scan cleanup gloves on, these were easy. There's also something about putting them together as a set that makes them feel cohesive.

Impressive..Wat did u use for scanning?

The files here are derivatives - I didn't do the scanning myself, just the cleaning and formatting. I believe the originals were done with 123D Catch

Very basically, how do you clean them up and why did you use?

I can't remember specifically what I did to these scans but typically: I use netfabb to close small holes, cut off "splats" on the ground that are leftover in the scan, and repair other minor mesh issues. Then, I either use blender, or mesh mixer to rescupt odd scan artifacts, add round bases, and change geometry to print better without support - changing angles slightly, etc. Rescale in blender, or in your slicer, to print at a specific size.
