Summary

A viewer shared these niffy automotive Calipers (typically used for for measuring tire tread depth and bakes). However they are super cheap and when I say super cheap, I am taking dirt cheap so a thousand and one uses ran thought my mind and this was one of them! Also if you want to create your own version, I have uploaded a digital buck version too (find it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2524206) so you can re-mix it into your own project (if you do re-mix please share the Make :-)!

Major Favor: if you make one of these please post the Make and share it with the community :-) .

two questions

  1. when will you make a video on this
2 how much distance is needed between the bed and nozzle when using 1.75mm pla
    thanks

Every print distance is different. So officially? theirs no definitive answer. However about .04inches or .11 mm is a good starting place. (the thickness of a standard sheet pf paper. during your print a skirt should show if the distance it too much or too little. Ill end here.
Google it or better yet do some tests your mind is your greatest asset!
