MiSTer - Case Universal v1.2 Updated

I added two new Top Shells now including buttons, the vents of the v5.2 case and an optional fan holding cage. The cage was matched for the noctua 40x40x20 mm fan but it should work well with other fans of similar dimensions. The noctua fan fits without glue or screwing requirements. Other fans might need to be glued in place.

The buttons are matched for the old 2.7 version of the I/O-Bord. Compared to the v5.2 these buttons are very much at the edge of the case. I did my best to accommodate the same buttons used in the universal case for the v5.2 I/O-Board. The buttons had to move quite a bit but ultimately feel even a little nicer and "clickier" compared to the other cases.

Everything should print in PLA in place without supports - layer height was again 0.18 mm.

I hope some guys still using the v2.7 I/O-Board will enjoy the new Top Shells. Your feedback is welcome as always.

Added a new Top similar to the v5.2 of the case incl the new vents on the top shell.
You will have to provide your on fan bracket solution for now - until I come up with something. Object: MiSTer Case Uni v1 Top Shell_New_Vents.stl

Original Summary
I remixed the Universal Case for the MiSTer to now support the I/O-Board 2.7 .

Also I increased the distance between bottom and the pbc to allow for more air flow. Only the top shell of the case remains unchanged and can be used with this version 1.2.

The original screws of the DE10 Nano can now be used to fix the DE10 Nano inside the case (see pictures). If you find this to be too difficult try using sharp screws to prepare the holes. It works!

Also... since this case is excellent, if you could add standoffs for the DE0-Nano as well, more centered in the case, the same case could be used for the DE0-Nano and DE10-Nano (two favorite FPGA boards). Thank you.

Thank you again for your suggestion. I sadly do not own a DE0-Nano, so that it makes limited sense for me to design a case of my own.
However, since you seem so interested in this case form factor let me reveal to you the open secret that I mainly used a customizer app for the basic shape of the box.

This case is nice and is probably going to be required over the 1.0 and 1.1 due to the DE10-Nano's heat issue. I would recommend larger openings above the fan and thicker slats. They're mighty thin and sagging a little now. Also, removing the cover to do maintenance becomes a pain with the fan connection wires which need to be long.. What if you slide the top vent towards the front panel and mount the fan on the back panel so the air flows through the case and out the back which would also allow the top to be removed without dealing with the fan. Just some suggestions. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the comment and your suggestions. The case was a "quick fix" to the arising heat issue encountered with the ao486 core. I also found the fan grill to be too thin. I will do a re-design and will accommodate for some changes that have to do with the 5.2 IO-Board (like 2nd SD-Card Slot). Re-design will take some time as I have to think about a different upper to lower shell connection. Also I am looking into integrating a larger fan like the A4x20 by noctua and I would like to get some action going for pushing down on the tactile switches of the IO-Board - maybe I will do different upper case shells to offer variety.
I will post the design her when it will be finished. :-)
