This is a stylized, toy model of the Cupcake CNC done in Sketchup. It comes in 6 pieces - four sides, the top and printhead, and the bottom.

Made specifically for the <a href=\"MakerBot">http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2010/04/makerbot_giveaway.html\">MakerBot giveaway.

Edited on 4/24 to add a few details to the model (bolts, improved cupcake, axis rods)

Edited on 4/26 to fix missing polygons on the sidewalls.

Edited on 4/30 to fix final missing polygons and resize.

If anyone prints it, please post. I'd love to see how it looks.


Print all six parts and assemble by pushing the walls into the base, then the top onto the walls.

All 6 parts (and the cupcake) are saved as components in the Sketchup file.

The older files (v2 and v3) have missing sidewall polygons. This is fixed in v4, so please use those files. That STL is also resized (largest part is 99mm wide) and the top/bottom has been slightly expanded to give more room for the posts.
