I needed a GT2 belt for a polar printer bot and the application called for a size of 186 teeth. There are some sources on line, but with minimum orders and lead time's I thought I'd try printing one. First print using NinjaFlex semiflex material looks promising, and for this light duty application may be ok. I'll let you know....
The commercial version is available here:
The polar drawbot is described here:
(I'm remixing some of those parts to use NEMA17 motors, so stay tuned!)
The OpenSCAD code is pretty simple, If you need a different size, there are only two parameters to work with, belt height and tooth count. Download the code and try adjusting them. It takes a long time to render, so might not be good choice for the actual customizer.
I made the tooth patter intuitively without a lot of math or geometry. This basically a minimum viable product. I'll leave it as an 'exercise for the student' to create a proper tooth profile.
I should note that the work was inspired from these two related things, but the coded in OpenSCAD by me:
I hope you like it! Thanks for looking.
