Hi, this is awsome project ! I ready printed top and bottom. After mounting both parts I think the bottom is slightly small and at the whole diameter the step is visible. Can you please update the bottom section with hole so that there is no step visible, please?

Can you edit that video without music while you're talking. No idea what you said but would like to. Thanks

as alredy asked what color PLAdo you use and print speed wood also be nice to now

Milky white would be the color you want.

the lower part does not match the upper ...

Super project!! I would like to know how you did it because I try to do the same with Saturn ^^'

Anything about printtime? How long does it take?

i print one in like 20 hours

Awesome thing, i am thinking about slicing this into multiple parts to make a 1m diameter moon lamp!

I just uploaded a desk lamp base that I designed to work with the top part of this glowing moon: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2746894

Great thing You have there.
Would it be possible that You upload a solid model, so that I get to choose the number of Perimiter shells myself? (it is to thick with the filament i want to use, so a minimum light will pass through).

Bottom part needs to resized to about 74.5...

Same here! The Bottom part is too small. Took 106,38%

Does this print well in vase mode?

What are the dimensions of the moon as-is?

I know this is a long shot, but is there chance you could do a Death Star version from star wars? So that when lit from inside tiny dots of light are visible.... like this https://youtu.be/-sv5WcYGyFA?t=2m22s

Any other links to the electronics? United States preferably

What filament do you use? Neutral PLA?

i cant get this to print, using latest Cura, it only prints half the moon, the picture of you printing it is roughly how far i get before it's at 100% complete i cannot get into layers in cura as it crashes any ideas?

Would it be possible to have a model of the entire moon that way we can choose the rotation and where to cut it off?

I made one. But bottom part is smaller for its place. It should be 75mm diameter but it was 70,5mm. So I will resize it to fit its place.

Is there another site to buy the switch? As far as I can tell that one only ships to/within Malaysia...

Couple ideas if you don't mind.

  1. Can you "key" the top and bottom so it is easy to determine the orientation before gluing down.
  2. Can you offer resized options with the appropriate bottom still functional with the LED kits? Like 125%, 75% etc.
  3. Other planets would be awesome. Mars, Jupiter ,Saturn.

does anyone know where to buy the switch in Europe?

Hi I just received it from eBay but I can’t find any instruction to use it ? ... thanks for helping

Hi Marco-Ca !
No specific instructions for me neither! I just plug it until it was fully charge (If I remember well the red light goes off) and then you touch the metal ring to light it up! ;)

Thanks I did not notice the metal ring is a touch on/of button

Is there a place to get the touch sensitive one in Europe aswell? Or does this one have the touch function too?

How did you find it? Been looking on eBay & Aliexpress but can't find any and the one you posted is out of stock

thank you very much

do you need to make the moon, if so, what do i need to do

Could not hear a thing you said on the video.

Hi, How to close the two objects? I was hoping there was an interlocking tool.

Would have been nice to hear what you were saying on the video without it being drowned out by the inane music being at such a high volume level.

BLEW MY EARDRUMS OUT BUT I HAVE PARSED DOWN THE USEFUL THINGS HE SAID IN THE VIDEO:

"ON THE BOTTOM IS THE TOUCH SWITCH."

I THINK IF YOU BUY THE ELECTRONICS AND PRINT THE MOON ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS PUT THE TWO TOGETHER AND YOU'RE GOOD TO GO.

Thank you for this. I had to stop the video because I couldn't take that stupid music so loud and not being able to hear a word of what he said.
