Use customizer to adapt to your sizes and change the number of holes you want.

A pulley derived from thing 5620, with holes in the internal section to reduce plastic use, and because it looks nicer.

We want to make a windturbine, so a large pulley is needed where the blades are added to the large pulley, and a motor to the small, with a belt going from one to the other, see picture.


Set in customizer the sizes you want, generate the stl, slice, and print!

If you expand the gap then you can make the spokes thicker; but it looks like the 'gap' controls several gap points (I'm guessing: center hole to large hole; large hole to outer rim; small hole to outer rim) but not the spacing between adjacent large holes. So, you can make those spokes thicker by making other things thicker too. The spokes still be the weakest spot, just not as weak.

This is very cool - but for many settings (with holenr >=4) the gaps between each pair of large holes seem to be too small (negative in some cases) leading to a weak point there, relative to the rest of the pulley. Could be fixed by adding another parameter - to increase the gap at the center for instance - or to allow the large-hole ellipse to be narrowed.

There is a gap parameter (you need to scrol in customizer as it does not expand all parameters), did it not work to improve that problem? Could be more intelligent of course, tried it myself only with a limited number of parameters, changing the gap always seemed to work.
