In an effort to keep my Bowden tube as small as possible, to reduce filament play, I mounted the extruder to the top of the frame at halfway along the Y travel. This bracket allows a geared extruder to sit with the gear facing inwards and the adjustment facing outwards.
I have tested fitment with a genuine E3D Titan and AxMod's Drakon, I also assume Paciente's NSTT would fit as well. If not, OpenSCAD source is included so you can modify the
off variable to move the motor out more.
The provided STL and the clear/white bracket in the photo is for the right hand side of the top of the frame. You could also mirror the model in your slicer to mount on the left hand side as shown in the photo of the red bracket.
The provided STL prints with a 3mm thickness between the motor and the extruder body. If you want a thicker bracket, modify the
It's a blatant ripoff of Tech2C's HyperCube right hand XY motor mount.
