Holders for the FrSky X6R, X8R and L9R receiver PCB antennae

Print either the antenna boom or antenna joint and press in the antennae at 90° angles.

Optionally print the cover and fix it in place with M2 bolts or zip ties. Holes may have to be drilled, I kept them small to reduce weight/wall thickness. The cover fits all holders.


  • 2015-05-15: added stronger version with 2 mm wall thickness (x8r_dual_v02_2mm.stl), use only if your printer has trouble with x8r_dual_v02.stl
  • 2015-04-06: X8R versions also fits L9R (finally got one to check)
  • 2014-03-17: added X6R version
  • 2014-03-17: minor changes to wire duct and LED holes
  • 2014-02-27: added top side version
  • 2014-02-25: shortened boom by 2 mm

Could you please update this design slightly to add more of a fillet between the vertical and the base? It tends to snap here

I am aware of that weakness; it depends on the material you are using and the wall thickness your printer can do. I have only had it occur with some old and rather brittle PLA. I have added a stronger version with 2 mm wall thickness (x8r_dual_v02_2mm.stl).

This is a nice mount, but I should point out that the wires to the antenna PCBs should also be 90 degrees apart as they are part of the antenna length. Your configuration will save space and is sturdy, but you will lose range with this mount.

How would you go about doing that? Do you mean that each antennae should be angled as shown, but that the cable needs to be angled as well, rather than splitting at the top?

I don't know anyone with a 3d printer. I will pay you $25.00 to make one for me. If that's not enough how much do you need to make one and send it to me. That is the best mount I have seen. Please let me know. Thanks, Brad Phillips, Sebring, Florida
