vibrations and woobling are a concern on the ANET A8. I already designed and printed some very effective mods on my printer but I discovered the two vertical Z plates are very flimsy and may twist under vibrations leading to motions in Y of the whole X carriage.
This very simple mod adds the required torsion rigidity that was missing. See the video to get an idea of its efficiency! (https://youtu.be/-Q838e6AOHo)
Like on my two other exoskeletons, this mod uses a 6mm carbon fiber tube (it can be replaced by a steel or aluminium rod).
The rod is hold in position when tightening the mounting screws.
This is a 15 minutes mod, if you want to improve your printer, make it !
0.2mm with a 0.4 mm noozle
print it vertically as deigned.
Once printed use a 3 mm drilltip to trim the screw hole and a 6mm for the carbon rod hole.
Cut a length of 32 cm carbon rod.
Install as shown.
