Base model from B65ISP on Blend Swap, similar to Alligator by mraiser, but I cleaned up the topology for printing--no need for netfabb. I completely remodeled the inside of the mouth, the neck is not stretched, there are no intersecting polys (teeth, tongue, eyes, back), and there are no holes in the mesh--completely manifold. Slicing is much easier. Removed some of the texturing.

Yes printed mouth supports and removed with flush cutters

I think my grandsons would like this, so I want to print one, and then print another when they're at our house so they can see.

Hi Willie, I'm going to try this as my 2nd print on my Anet A8. When I download the .STL, do you think all the settings already there should be okay for my printer? So I would be able to simply open it in Cura and save the GCODE file?

It's hard to say. The default settings don't come from the .STL file, they come from your software. I don't know anything about the Anet A8 printer. But if those default settings worked for you before, it could be a good place to start. There is often some trial and error involved.

Okay, thanks for the reply. I have a lot to learn. I can see how this would be more challenging for adhesion than my first print - which had a square, continuous first layer.
When I tried the alligator, it looked like it started good, but then the 3rd time it went back to the tail it lifted and stuck to the extruder.
I replaced the tape on the bed, and going to re-level with the bed pre-heated.
Would you know which settings in the slicer most affect adhesion, and what you had them set to for the alligator? The A8 comes with Cura so that's what I'm using... not sure how different it is from others.

I've never actually printed this one myself, but if adhesion is the major issue, I'd recommend printing it with a brim or a raft. That will add some extra surface area to the bottom of the print.

Hi, can you modify it with the tails turning upwards (U shape) so we can use it as a hanger? My son would love it for his coats.
Thank you

your model is really awesome it printed with great detail on my monoprice select mini

Did you print with supports in the mouth?

This gets hung up when it starts to lay the filament for the belly.

What gets hung up? Hung up on what? What are your settings?
