I think a centrifugal fan works better in this type of scenario with thin ducting, because they push air with more pressure. Radial fans like the one to be used here push very little air when impeded much at all.

Hi, I love the design and was wondering if you would be able to make a version of this for DC42's Ormerod Hot End Board V2 (https://miscsolutions.wordpress.com/ormerod-hot-end-board-v2/). This would be very helpful.

Very nice design !
To increase the efficency of the system I would rather use a radial fan.
e.g. like this:

The axial fan blows angainst the the wall resulting in decreased airflow and performance.
The radial fan will blow directly downwards to the air-ring which will give a much better performance.
Also the mechanical size of the whole printhead will get a little bit smaller ;)
