Have you put the Onyx or Continuous filament levers into actual use on the motorcycle? I'm curious how well they hold up. The nylon seems that it would be a little too flexible for end use.
100% would never use
=> 0% Chance to get to know a great application for 3D printing ;)
but also
0% chance to die in a horrible motorcycle crash
0% chance to feel this adrenaline rush when while emergency case such lever breaks.
It is not something you would like to break when you want to brake lol. I have printed a couple of things in nylon and it tends to be flexible' is it not too flexible?
You are right about the Nylon. This material tends to be more flexibel and in some cases thats a big advantage. Not in this case. Thats the reason why we strongly recommend to print this part in Onyx. The Onyx material consists of Nylon with chopped Carbon fiber. That makes it less flexible and very strong. With the Markforged 3D-printers, you can even reinforce the part with continuous fiber like carbon fiber, fiberglass or Kevlar.
