NOT WORKING YET . Looking for testers.
PROPELLERS DO NOT PROVIDE ADEQUATE LIFT :(
ALSO VERY DIFFICULT TO PRINT BALANCED PROPELLERS :( Any advice from people who have been successful?
Maybe the solution is to BUY PROPELLERS INSTEAD OF PRINTING but this will require a REDESIGN OF BODY unfortunately. OR LIGHTER BATTERY??
2S lipo weighing 31g + air frame 26g + 4 engines 22g, + camera tx 5g + receiver 2g + flight controller 3g I'm not sure. Initial testing looking good. May experiment with more blades 5 or 6.
Total Thrust required is 89g for hovering. It is desirable to have around double that. 45g of thrust per motor if possible. These motors provide 40g each, but they are expensive: https://micro-motor-warehouse.com/products/cl-0820-17
Components change size and shape, printers print different sizes, ABS shrinks - none of this is my fault.. Treat this as a starting point - you will have to file and chop. Basically folks, it's buyer beware and you're not buying - it's a free design - so please don't come complaining to me if doesn't work for you.. design your own.
Body: 26 grams when printed in ABS.
Drone with everything on it: 98 grams.
Light weight, strong body. Ducts which hopefully provide better efficiency.
Full protection of propellers in crashes. Protection of antenna in crashes.

Camera and Video Transmitter
Receiver - A8S-2 tiny SBUS
Battery size 25mm wide x 15mm high x 40 to 45mm
8.5mm Brushed Motors
Flight Controller - brushed
Other essential items to use with drone
Transmitter (Controller) - any that is compatible with your receiver - I suggest:
Reduced outer diameter for a total of 1.2mm clearance as 0.5 was not enough, given the twisted edges of the lofted blades add extra circumference.
Slightly longer battery housing.
Reinforced with triangular mounts for camera tx housing.
Shortened and strengthened motor wire guards. After testing dropping with battery installed these broke too easily.
Provided mounting rail for EVO F3 flight controller.
Sturdier box for SBUS receiver.
Gave an extra 2mm inside camera housing to facilitate installation of camera.
Provided sturdier mounting clips for EVO F3 flight controller.
Angled Camera housing
Cut down rims of ducts to eliminate drag and weight.
If there are any aerospace people out there willing to give me some pointers, I'd really appreciate it.
