If you put:

projection(cut=false)

before the translate and union function for the set you can output a file that should be able to be converted to a laser cutting format, for wood,acrylic etc.

7 years late, but good idea, I made a remix for it

Cool, I didn't know about that feature of OpenSCAD :) Indeed, this might work as a laser cut thing, but I don't have a laser cutter, so I wouldn't really know. I have a feeling that laser cut material might have to be too thin for the pieces to stand up reliably. Even these plastic pieces are a little on the thin side.

This looks like the sort of thing my grandfather would cut out of wood.

I could see that, though my woodworking skills are such that I prefer to let the computer do it ;)
