Would this need to be modified to work with an AR-10?

Hy, I am currently waiting for a chance to try it on an AR-10.
The curved down wing at the end should sit right next to the case deflector, so if your optic allows it, you could try to simply mount it further in the back, I can't guarantee that tough.
But you can expect an updated version of this deflector for both the AR-15 and an adapted version specifically for the AR-10 probably in this or next month.

Awesome, thanks! I use a brass catcher on my smooth-sided AR-15, but my dad can't get one to mount properly on his AR-10 because of the brass deflector, so this might be an option for him.

What software did you use to design this part?

hy, i used autodesk inventor.

what size screws are needed?

2 different screw types are needed, to connect the mount to the deflector you'll need 2 M4x20 screws, to connect the two parts of the mount through the picatinny rail, 2 M4x45 screws are necessary.
