This hair pin is designed after Toothless the dragon in How to Train Your Dragon. Print it flat then put it on a mug and use a heat gun to soften it. Make the bend enough to allow the pin to go through the wing holes. I printed it with wood filament, lightly sanded, then stained with a dark walnut stain.

Only the tip of the pin needs support. Just make sure the entire length is flat on the bed.

I used the hot water method to shape it. Worked fine, but be careful as it only takes a couple of seconds to become pliable.

The printed part in your images seems larger than the model. What scale is it printed at?

I printed it at 100% I designed it to fit my daughter's head. It's approx. 154mm wide, 104mm tall.
