Unless you have a smart charger for your eBike, it's hard to know when the battery is charged.
This is a small Voltmeter/Ammeter, designed to go between battery and charger to tell the voltage and amps being delivered.
It can also be used in between battery and motor/controller to show remaining charge. Although I havent designed any mounts for it to go on the bike
Can be used in any project where measuring 30-100V is needed up to 3A
Based on simple $3 Voltage Current indicators from china, 2x 18650 cells and a small charging circuit. A switch and any connectors you like/need.
- Voltage/Current indicator
- Micro USB 18650 charger board
- Battery spring and plate set
- Mini SPST Rocker Switch
- 6x 6-12mm M3 screws
Wiring is completed partially by the included diagram.
The reason this project is powered by the 18650 cells is because these Voltmeter/Ammeters run on 4-30V DC.
Note: The display can be off (using the switch) and it will not disrupt power flow.
Because I am measuring beyond 30V DC (Most eBikes are 36V-60V) the power from the charger CANNOT be used to power the display, it must come from another alternate source.
The SMALL red and black lines go to the 18650 charger board outputs (5V)
The SMALL yellow line taps into the RED line that is coming IN and OUT
The LARGE red and black lines intersect the BLACK line that is coming IN and OUT.
When I get time (or requests), I will draw up the diagram properly, but from the photos and included diagram, and if you are into eBikes, you are likely savvy enough to wire it up very easily
Infill will only be needed in the lids and bases.
Suggest at least 2x walls and 2-3 top and bottom layers at 0.3
Remove supports with long nose pliers.
Long nose pliers or tweezers will assist in assembly, getting wires through slots inside.
