This is an tripod mount for my Ultra-Wideband Vivaldi Antenna available from Tindie.
This allows you to mount two antennas together on a standard camera tripod. The antenna can either be used independently to feed 2 receivers, split as transmit/receive, or even combined together with a slitter/combiner to create a more directional array.
The mount features 3 tripod mount threads in case on gets damaged. Additionally it is possible to mount the antenna's vertically on the tripod. This may be useful if you wish to listen to satellites etc.
The base plate features 4 off cable slots to keep you RF cable nicely out of way. The design supports up to 3mm coax and works nicely with RG174 cable.
You will need 8 off M2.5 mm screws(up to 12mm long) to attach the antenna to this mount.
The print requires a resolution of 0.1mm for the threads to form correctly. It will work at 0.2mm, but the quality of the thread does not come out as well.
STL files marked as 'smooth' do not include the tripod tread in the model and are designed for the threads to be tapped after printing. These can be printed at greater layer heights.
