Got tired of he noisy 30mm fan. Instead of creating a whole new jig, I simply created an adapter to fit between the original E3D shroud and a 40mm fan

I made sure the scew tunnels for the inner 4 screws are 10mm as is the original fan. This way connecting the adapter to the original shroud is no different and can use the same screws.
Each printer behaves slightly different. the other screw holes are meant for m3 hex socket screws. The holes are printed at 3.2 mm and tightly fit when printed for me.

the blue shroud was borrowed from https://grabcad.com/library/e3d-v6-hotend-3
The actual sound you do hear in this video is not the hotend fan but the electronics cooling fan.
