Hello again,

This time it took longer because I resorted to rough sketches and imagination in terms of the design. Used various bits and bobs from around the web for inspiration, but it's not a blatant copy of any particular design. It's actually quite challenging to come up with a mech design, but eventually I came up with something I like and, hopefully, you'll too.

I called it AH-KU MKII (Autonomous Hunter-Killer Unit, Mark 2) - dubbed "Cheetah" - as speed, camouflage and agility are what brings it to close quarters combat at which it excels. Being caught out in the open though renders it almost helpless.

Doesn't Matter

Print big for FDM, print at around 50mm tall for DLP.
Checks out OK from Netfabb.
Will require a bit of sanding as the tolerances on the parts are extreme to say the least. But a minute with sandpaper and you'll be OK.

How I Designed This

Blender all the way, as usual.
If anyone's interested, the presentation screen was made using Substance Painter.

Thank you for publishing this great model. I was wondering if you could publish one with fewer pieces for DLP/SLA printing? Thank you.

Very nice! Thanks for the item!

Fantastic design!
After a lot of fiddling with the supports and a few repositioned parts, prints started to come out great...
Now printing the final (and easiest) part, the base.

Anet A8, sliced with Cura 3.1
PLA, 0.1 layer height, 40mm/s, 15% infill, 195ºC / 55ºC
Support settings changed from part to part

Dont know what is happening, couldnt make the arm (tested with the left arm), it doesnt build the supports correctly..
The same thing happens to the left side of the head.

Im using Cura, CR-10.

Printing at 0.1, 50m/s, 210 degrees, bed 45 degrees

I love the way your pieces are prepared to print. Nice amount of smooth on edges and details... Amazing work.

Nice design and a great aesthetic. Can't wait to print this one!

Such a awesome desing.
And Warhammer 40k Tau Empire conversion material... ;)
