This is the pieces you need to upgrade the Tatara A8 Steel V1.00 with linear guides on Z axis
Many of you ask if is possible to upgrade the V1.00 TATARA A8 Steel to be used with mini linear guide, the answer is yes.
But personally we think is too much hassle, than do it at your own risk.
You have 2 way to do this:
For boot solutions you need laser cuts the new parts:
2 x ZMT11-DE
2 x ZMS11
2 x TP11-DE (optional but suggested)
1-Do a new cut of the XZ frame CODE: XZ10-SI15 who have the holes for the linear guide at each side and remove some useless holes
2- 3D print a "Holes template" for the original XZ frame V1.00 and drill you self, holes diameter size must be 3.2mm.
You have to start with the low holes (the round corner go UP) The bottom of the printed hole template must touch the ZMT11-DE the hole are at 10mm form the outer edge. Once you drill the 5th hole you move the guide and you block with one screw on the 5th hole and you drill the other 4 holes. Print the hole template for other side or reuse it if is not damaged.
The holes on hole template are 2.2mm if you want pre drill with smaller drill bit.
Both this solution can use the custom carriage we design (PP-CXZ-R-SI15-DE, PP-CXZ-L-SI15-DE).(ready soon)
If you don't want re cut the ZTM and ZMS parts we don't know how linear guide will perform at that distance from lead screw and the custom carriage will not work.
Same mini linear guide as V1.1 HAYABUSA will be used:
Kit: TKE-04-015-1-352 (you need 2, one for each side: 1 fix and 1 floating LLZ)
Why if i drill vs cut the XZ10-SI15 part the holes heigth are differents: That's normal because in old version has the guide for Z end stop and we can't drill on the edges of it.
