The stator as shown in the third image is oriented the wrong way, it would dramatically reduce performance. The leading edge of the stator should be oriented into the flow - as you have it the leading edge is about 90 degrees to the flow.

You are absolutely correct, however it's more of a "me-not-double-checking-the-assembly-before-taking-screenshot" kind of issue. The CAD assembly shown in the picture simply includes the wrong impeller. The impellers are counter-rotationg, so with the correct impeller in place the orientation of the stator will be correct.

As for making them counter-rotating - jet boats do not suffer from the same effects as regular propped boats, there is really no benefit to making one side turn the opposite direction as far as the thrust is concerned.
