nice! I have always actually hated the benchy but I would love to see one wrecked at the bottom of my fish tank!

I would just like to make it known that after printing this I discovered that there is an issue in the .stl on the back side of the boat. I have included a picture of what my slicer portrayed. After using the .obj file, it worked flawlessly.

I printed two, got some stringing on the back side, but nothing major. Fun design, coral looks awesome but is fragile. Print without a raft, both of mine stuck securely.

Thanks

I've printed 3 different versions of this thing and none of them would print the boat.

What slicer and printer are you using? Have you tried Redemptioner's remix? They only cut off two of the coral plants.

Awsome, this can be added inside a reef aquarium for fun if the material is water safe

doesn't slice in S3D or SlicEr, mesh mixer can't fix either

This is awesome, a really good idea!!

Which slicer did you use? And the other print settings.... Simplify only makes garbage. And Netfabb can't fix it. :)

I sliced it on Cura using the OBJ file and printed it with the Tevo Tarantula using the PLA filament that came with my machine.
Extruder: 205C
Bed: 60C
LH: 0.2
2 Rings of a skirt on top of Blue Painters Tape
No support.
Infill: 10% lines ( I should of did higher but I wanted it in under 4 hours)
Print Speed: 70mm/s
100% extrustion

I am not sure if the STL will load properly for everyone else because it was giving me some issues at first. I included the STL for the sake of the Thingiverse Viewer.

i have the same problem with simplify3D

I added the Meshmixer file if you want to try to open it and convert it to a new file.

Meshmixer hangs when I run analysis on this file with it. Kill S3D as well when I try to use repair. Microsoft 3D tools usually fixes really bad stuff, but even it crashes when trying to load this file.

It be seriously busted man.

DLC

.STL is effed. Full of non-manifold edges. Use NetFabb to repair your work before uploading...

I will print this on my tevo when I get an aquarium

looks really cool!

wow, really cool!!!!

interesting that you didnt use supports to make them more organic, I will definitely experiment with that idea myself :)

thank you!

I hate using supports. When you print it at the normal benchy dimensions, no supports should be needed. I would love to see a big print of this.

cool!! thanks for crediting me :)
