Could you upload the step files? I'd like to modify the bottom plate and arm to add a small generator and drive some leds.

Hi, I'm working on printing the 200mm version on my Prusa i3 Mk3, the print's going great, it's a beautiful design. My question is how am I supposed to assemble it? just glue the shafts, supports and wings together? or buy some other components to connect it? If so, what other parts do I need? Also do you know how much energy you can get out of it?

Thanks for this model ! I'll make one during the next week, I was planning to scale your other VAWT to fit my anet a8, but you made this one :)

PS : Do you still recommend printing with 0.8mm and 0.6mm noozle ? Is that only for speed ?

It should also work with the 0.4mm nozzle.
0.6 and 0.8 are for faster print speeds and higher layer heights.
But I recommend for the "wings" the vase mode with a 0.6 nozzle, layer height 0.3 - 0.4mm.

It might be better to print additional segments (
1xCentersupport + 2xWing ... + 1xshaft ...).
The small version needs a bit more wind than the bigger one.
But you can easily add segments later.

Thank you for your reply ! I'm trying to assemble one, but it seems to be that shaft is smaller than the wing (for the 200mm version).

Do I need to place bolts as shown in the youtube video you made for the biggest model ? If I have to, the shaft is to thin to fit the bolt, and to tall to attach the support with the wing ?

Yep, I finally manage to assemble it, works great, I'll post some pictures, thanks a lot :)

Next step, rigidify the PVC pipe and ad a 12v step by step motor !
