Huge thank you to Clinton Matos for writing an article about this! https://www.htxt.co.za/2018/01/18/attach-the-nintendo-switch-joy-cons-to-your-phone-with-a-3d-print/ Thanks to Ethan Gach for also writing an article about this https://kotaku.com/joy-con-grips-are-a-lot-more-useful-with-smartphones-in-1822269622
This is what gave me the idea to make this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2435511
The models were't made to fit with cases
This is a switch joy con grip for the iPhone X, iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s+, iPhone 7, iPhone 7+, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 XL, Note 8, and Galaxy S8+ , Galaxy Grand Prime, LG G4, Galaxy 7S, Galaxy Tab 3, and I would love to see some remixes with other types of phones. I will lin linger be making any more grips for other phone types. This can be used for watching a stream while on a loading screen, having a game map open, accessing the Nintendo Switch Online App, and much more. Printers can vary in their tolerances, so you may need to edit your slicer settings to print it a few percent bigger or smaller to get the tolerances perfect. I hope you enjoy this accessory!
I modeled it using Fusion 360 (https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/students-teachers-educators download link) To get the tolerances right I used a digital caliper to get the exact measurements of the components.
