Print Thing TagSummary
I call this Lunar Lander, for obvious reasons.
A pendant light built from hubs that allow the creation of space frames. The hubs are twist rhombic dodecahedra. Other 3D printed parts are a flange for holding the cardboard triangles, a jig for centering the holes in the wooden discs, and a ball for the bottom struts.
The holes in the dodecahedra are sized for 3/16" dowels.
Notes: in assembly be mindful that the space frame becomes VERY rigid so don't count on being able to bend the dowels to insert new struts between hubs. The light socket is attached to a triangular piece of 1/4" wood that is connected to three center struts.
The wooden discs are available here: https://www.caseyswood.com/shoppingcart/zen-cart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=54
