A 1/5 scale copy of a wicker basket made with Autodesk's ReCap Photo and a simulated "weaved" basket made with OpenSCAD. They could serve as desk containers.
The weaved basket is based on "Parametric Boxes Made of Hexagons" - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1255039 - The hexagons were changed into squares and handles added. Changes to the code are noted in "weaved_basket.scad".
The weaved pattern starts as an array of squares placed on a hexagonal lattice. The squares are made three dimensional and removed from a side of the box leaving square holes. The original square array is duplicated and offset by translations along x and y. Again the squares are made three dimensional and removed from a box side to create a second version. The two versions are added together to form the pattern. It apparently has cmm symmetry.
