I have provided three files.
- The frame in one piece
- Two piece, part 1
- Two piece part 2
The one piece frame is too large for the X1 bed. The two piece part 1 and 2, both fit on the X1 bed together. The two pieces could be glued together, but it works just fine without glueing.
Since the X1 does not have a heated bed I printed with 5mm brim and glue stick.
I started off by printing out the design by Richard Baldock. I was hoping to use it for my Melzi board for my TronXY X1, but although the X1 and the X3 both use the same board, the control box for the X1 is smaller, thus the design by Richard did not fit. Inspired by this I proceeded to design my own version. I kept it about the same size as the Melzi board, thus would fit inside the X1 control box. I also made it a bit lower to match the height of the existing spacers so the same fixing screws could be used.
The original design clashed with the sides of the case
One the first viersion I designed the board did not sit flush due to the pins of the programming and display header hitting the frame
The second version had recesses to accomodate the pins.
