Would be really cool if you could provide source files. Thanks for the great idea.

So how much actuator push/pull before the motor stalls out or something breaks?

I recently designed and printed some brackets that can be attatched to both ends of the actuator so I can put 2 20mm shaft through them. I'm gonna post some pictures and the files soon. I also might do some destructive testing to test the max load on the actuator now that I have those brackets.

How much can this push before the motor stalls?

Hello, I printed your fantastic project. I have a question: it seems the pulley is bigger compared to your photos. If i put the whole actuator on a table, the pulley touches the table, in your photo it doesn't happen. Is it normal? Thanks

Hello carobeppe you were right. I uploaded the wrong pulley. thanks for mentioning. I already changed the file for the right pulley. I'm sorry but you will have to reprint the right pulley. This pulley doesn't stick out and is the one used in the photo's. Hope this helps :-)

I really want to make this. Curious: you list the bearings and the pulley gear, but what about the specs for the shaft in the actuator, the belt, and the screws? Unless I missed something, I don't see info on all the parts I need to order. thanks in advance!

the shaft for the actuator was already in the discription and is just and M8 thread you can find in your local hardware store.

How long is the shaft? Everywhere I see to buy its 1m long and I know thats too long for your project. sorry for the dumb questions.

The shaft needs to be about 230mm long and no problem, the answer to your questions can be quite usefull to other people so thanks for asking.

About the screws I used.I just used some screws I had lying around. I found these online they are about the closest to the ones I used: http://www.rockler.com/6-x-5-8-flathead-zinc-screws-400-per-pack

Are all the screws really necessary for some reason?

One could say you very much screwed this one up! ;-)

Hahaha I would probably get away with less then half of them but I just wanted to be sure it was riggid enough (on a high load there is some wringing force pushing against the sides) and I thought It kinda gave it a steam punk look tho ;-)
