hi anyone, if I use 3d touch, do I need to shift "red" and “Brown” cable as well?

yep you need to do 3Dtouch and BL touch have the same definition

Denis, tks for quick reply
what is the purpose to shift cables? the latest bltouch has different cable color, do I need to do the same shift?

I don't know the new bltouch but i can imagine it's the same electrical definition
you need to check the signal name ( + - signal) for the 3 pins connector and GND & contact for the 2 pins.

I imagine the information is on mini pcb on bltouch

Here is real EN file ... one what is posted here is still french , and i make some changes like raise temperatures because when you want to print ABS you got error "MAXTEMPERATURE_FAIL

NOzzle 275 C
bed 120 C

I’ve installed it the same as you and put firmware on unified version but Bltouch not showing up! Any help please.

Have you shift brown and red wire ? as shown in the picture

Yeah I have and installed the unified firmware, as I says that with the marlin one that it’s too big?
Any help would be much appreciated. Even a copy of the firmware?

It's curious how space is mising? what language do you use ? (I have tested only the french)

English it says sketch too big.

Try to comment these lines : on configuration.h to save space by adding "//" before each line

define STRING_CONFIG_H_AUTHOR "(Creality CR-10)" // Who made the changes.

define STRING_SPLASH_LINE1 SHORT_BUILD_VERSION // will be shown during bootup in line 1

define STRING_SPLASH_LINE2 WEBSITE_URL // will be shown during bootup in line 2

Is it possible to save more space? I'm not able to compile due to the size. I tried several builds but none of them seems to fit in memory with the BLtouch included.

need some advice .. (mb helps others) what all i need to ABL ?
1.Stl for mount
2.bl touch (or clone)
3.bootloader on melzi board(cr 10....)
4.flash marlin to board(in this time is actual 1.1.8 with bl touch enabled-you post) // you will loose sd card?!//
5,some g-code in slicer (cura,s3d,slic3r etc..) can you post it ?
6., test STL

Im missing something ?

can you share your start script ? I have already instaled BL Touch on my cr10 , but not sure about that code and one thing... how to properly mount sensor... i mean how hight or it doesnt matter just little bit closer to the bed as is nozzle ?
//because mine start print too hight (aprox.1mm over the bed)
//already saw some french video about ofset calibration...
/// mine start script

THe thing détails is up to date :) enjoy !

Hello i will share it this evening.

On the start Gcode you must have The command G29 after the G28 command to enable autoleveling process.

For the Z offset you must adjust with the Gcode on the termininal

M851 'Show the current offset on EEPROM
M851 Z-1.0 'SET the offset to 1mm (Value to be adapted) if you increase th value ex Z-1.2 the nozzle will be close the bed

Dont forget to do M500 after to store the value on EEPROM.

I am not sure to understand what you mean by ABL but the marlin i posted is configured for the STL (The BL touch or clone holder) i have joined to this post.

For the start and End code on the slicer (i use cura, i will post it soon).

ABL= auto bed leveling

error "Oops! Make sure you have 'Arduino Mega' selected from the 'Tools -> Boards' menu."

That is the error i get when using the firmware on my cr10. Cant flash!

Have you follow the tutorial with an arduino R3 to install the new bootloader?

So the singel wire from BLtouch will replace the Z-stop wire? Which means, no need for the Z-stop switch anymore, am I right?

Just trying to get my cr-10 upgrade, BLtouch on the way.

Yep you are right you need to remove the stock Z end stop and replace it by BL touch

Thank you so much for your instructions and help. I have successfully installed it and running well. I made some changes in the configuration and uploaded to the post under Made to help others.

What do you mean by :
" Edit : Don't forget to shift brown and red cable !"

why is it done?

See the last piscture, red and brown must be inverted :) enjoy
