This is a Dial Gauge adapter for TEVO Tornado, but openscad file is provided with parametric variables so can be adapted to CR10, Anet.. or any other squared hotend printer, or different dial gauge screw size.
The aim is to measure the heatbed level easily by reading the dial in several X,Y positions. The result is much accurate than the piece of paper, a dial gauge are very cheap in ebay, etc.
The idea comes from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2796961, but after printing it, it did not fit TEVO hotend screws and only is attached by a weak flap pressure so it moves and fall easily. Furthermore, due its shape, it was very difficult to print without supports
This new design use the hotend fan screws and the gauge original screw pad, so provide a very solid attachment, essential for accurate level reading.
You can either dismount a single gauge screw (leaving the adapter on the hotend), or even leave the dial (it is not heavy), but keep the bar up with an accessory. I recommend to dismount it,so you can print fast as before.
It prints better vertically (see picture) and in very short time.
