This is a top cover and top plate designed for the DJI450 that protects the quad from damage, and keeps everything tidy. The top plate also provides extra surface area for the user to add more electrical components among other things, and the cover fits snugly over.(((warning, the top plate will cause problems printing. The problem is that there are small extrusions around each hole that do not allow the plate to lay flat on the bed. Because of this the printer will get jammed up and make a huge mess. The best fix for this is to edit the ipt file and take away the small extrusions that are the cause to the problem.)))

Top Cover with FPV-
1 print with low resolution upsidedown with rafts and support (Makerware)
2 have the part upside down
3 put 7/8" rubber grommet in camera hole
4 use standard board FPV camera
5 push camera head into the rubber grommet
6 place telemetry through the hole in the back, and join it with the antenna on the other side

Top plate-
1 print in standard resolution (Maker ware)
2 screw 3d printed top plate over the DJI F450 top plate
How to put the cover on-
1 place the cover over the top plate
2 zip tie cover to arms using tabs (only 2 needed)

I just ordered a 3d printer of my own been using the local hobby shops makerbot mini anyway. Is it possible to tilt the camera hole back about 25 degrees? I want to learn how to do this and I know I can I just need to know where to go to learn it. I would like to add a mobius mount on top at the same angle as well.

It would be possible to do that by modifying the IPT file in the program Autodesk Inventor Professional. You can get the student version from Autodesk's website, it is an easy program to learn. I do not have access to my schools computers or 3d printers at the moment so I would not be able to do that for you unfortunately.

been flying with this hood for a while now, great, clean setup. Plenty of room in there, I have all my FPV gear mounted in the hood, so with just one plug I can remove all the FPV stuff. Also, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:768726 (without the cup) fits the naza gps under this hood, and with a notch on the back of the hood, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:336817 LED holder fits quite nice, and makes for a VERY clean setup.

That is awesome dude! I'm glad this hood is getting good use. Nice designs!

Any videos flying with it ? :)

Looks like there's an error in the STL for the Top Plate. One of the counterbored holes protrudes through the bottom surface and causes the slicing software to attempt to build the entire part slightly above the build plate.

I just added it, check it out. Happy printing!

I am posting now, a little late. Sorry.

You didn't upload the bottom yet right?

Hey, thanks for showing interest in my things!

what is that plate on the very bottom? I need room for my f450 and that looks like it does the trick! awesome shroud btw.
