So here is WIP version of my EF12 working 1/3 scale engine model... All in style of The King of 3D printed engine models Ericthepoolboy ( https://www.thingiverse.com/ericthepoolboy/about )
It is just a block, crankshaft, flywheel and pistons assembly for now. (I'm working on the rest of the engine)
There is still TONS of work to do... (many things can change for the final version - piston for sure, crank will look a bit more realistic too, block's flywheel side isn't finished...)
For assembly You will need:
6x (4 will work too) 6701 bearings
4x 623 bearings
6x M3x12/10mm SHCS screws for connecting rod bearing bridge
8x M3x16mm SHCS screws for crankshaft bearing bridges
8x M3x8mm SHCS screws for flywheel
3x M3x20mm SHCS screws as a piston pins
3x M3 jam nut for piston pin bolts
and I think:
6x M3 nut (jam and standard will work the same I think) for crank
3x M3x14 SHCS screws for crank
3x M3x16 SHCS screws for crank
Printed parts should be all 1 piece except:
Connecting rod 1 and 2 (3x)
Connecting rod spacer (6x)
2 & 3 bearing bridge (2x)
Because this is just a WIP I'm not going to make any assembly instructions... For now... If you know Ericthepoolboy's engines you should know how to put it together.
I'm dreming about UP mini 2 3D printer so I'm trying to make it fit a 120mm cube print space. :)
Brim might be a good idea for the block and piston.
Models are not oriented for printing...
