Will you be adding a note when the new SRTM2STL is released?

I'm delinquent in releasing the new version. The main reason is that it's complicated to use. I'm not going to support it like a company would so I shouldn't worry so much about that. But...when you make a map with the new version (called srtm4stl) you need four adjacent SRTM files. From there it just gets weirder and weirder to use. I'm not saying you couldn't handle it (I'm sure some people would have a lot of trouble though). It really needs me to spend more time making the interface easier to use and understand. Since writing it (4 years ago) I just haven't had enough time...plus, every time I think of a way to make a change for the better I find more complications. So, there's my explanation. That all said, I'm still happy to make a mountain if you need a different one. And maybe this year I'll have the time to make more changes. I'm writing several other software packages (one of which is mapping in a different way) and this, along with hardware projects, mapping projects, ham radio projects and my actual day job, seem to keep me from getting back to srtm4stl. But, again, until I get this in better shape, I'm happy to make another map.

No problems: I'm always looking to improve workflow. I currently use (NZ LINZ-sourced) geo-tiffs, load them into Q-GIS, select the appropriate area/zoom/height, then export to STL. Cheers.
