Penta light is a very small 12 cm battery powered led light. It uses:
- 3 AAA batteries + battery case
- 5 white leds, standard type: 5 mm diameter
- 5 100 Ohm resistances
- Some spare cable to wire all toghether
- Optional on/off switch that you can attach in the pentagon walls (not on the photo)
This just a fun project since I needed some lights for my transparent flowerpots. So don't expect precision. Added the .blend of the cover in case it does not fit like expected.
If you PRINT one please post some photos clicking on "I made one". I would like to see how it is with different colors and materials.
2015-03-19 Cover second design iteration. Now it closes :) Recommendation: It's better to print this in ABS so it's more flexible. As is not very tall, is an easy print!
2015-03-16 Battery cover is being redesigned since it does not close as expected. Updating it temporarily with both STL and .blender source. Thanks for the feedback so far! Hurry up want to see the first build :)
Print it in PLA white or ABS. Important: Print it with the base at the top just like in the cura picture. I also removed the battery holder from the design since I realized not everyone will have same size. I used triangular infill but any will do just keep in mind that it will change the light reflection. Supports only touching bed!
If you want to have more light print it in transparent PLA or just put at 10% framerate and print after milimiter 6 and 7 the separation floor between led and plate in a transparent Plastic. The last picture with transparent blue is an example of this and it enables a lot more light to illuminate your object on top.
