This case is for the TS100 Mini soldering iron and is designed to hold the control unit with bit fitted and two other bits and the accessories supplied with the original kit. The latest mix now includes a stand with flip-up prop and sponge space with a cover that is also used to lock the prop in position. The original plain cover has been retained for those who don't want the stand. Step files are here for those who wish to play with the design.
0.2mm layers with 0.4mm nozzle
Use 2 perimeters.
This was printed with FilaPrint PET-G but PLA is also suitable. I would suggest that the holder is made from a temperature resistant material to avoid damage from the iron when removed and replaced from the stand but I have had no issues from my continued use.
Supports are needed for the stand cover which should be printed top-down, so that supports are generated for the sponge and prop recesses from the bed only. You will have to play with orientation of other parts to avoid unnecessary supports, depending on printer type.
No clean up was needed but will depend on your printer's performance. All screws and nuts are M3 with recesses for captive nuts and the screw are countersunk M3 x 12 and M3 x 30, two of each and 4 four nuts.
Designed with Onshape under the title "TS100 Case and Stand". The step files are here too.
