This thing has moved to Youmagine: https://www.youmagine.com/designs/squeezebox-amplifer-power-switch

This project makes a power switch to control an amplifier connected to a Squeezebox. The switch turns the mains power on and off when the Squeezebox is turned on an off.

This box needs some care and attention to print perfectly because it's very wide and not very tall. If you're not careful, the corners will peel upwards and warp the shape of the box. Since the electronics aren't at all packed in, this probably won't matter too much if it happens. Also, get ready for some long prints - even the lid took about two and a half hours on my Ultimaker.

For details about the electronics to go inside, take a look at http://electronicsfordogs.com/articles/control-amplifier-squeezebox

Depeding how you make the electronics, you may need to move some of the holes around. I've included the Sketchup source file so you can do this.

No results.

Better use this schematic instead: http://www.delback.co.uk/squeezebox/classic_signal.html

It requires no DC power source.

Oops! Sorry about that - I think its called "a problem between the keyboard and the chair" - I'd written the article but not allowed access to it. It's fixed now, so you should be able to see it.
