What did you use to slice the model ?

Boolean operation in 3ds Max. I made a solid that defined the trim, cut that and then reversed the operation to create the second color section.

Very nice.. I notice that there's no appparent color bleeding - something which my builds with the Prusa MMU oftens suffer from, even after increasing the wipe area. I suspect that the particular brand of the darker colors might influence the problem. May I ask which brands you were using for this build?

Hatchbox for both colors. I used the Prusa edition of Slic3r, too. Not sure that matters.

Thanks for the info... well Hatchbox isn't readily available here in Germany any more (mostly sold out except for 3mm filament) so I'll keep experimenting with various brands. KISSlicer allows specifying wipe for each extruder/color individually (something Slic3r can't do yet) but the combination of PLA brands I have here still requires ridiculous wipe amounts when switching to white. Wonder what other factors may influence that bloody bleeding... ;-)

So, so cool. Somehow I never realized you had to separate out the colors into different models.

Yeah - that's how the Prusa MMU does it (probably how all 3D printers do it). This is what triggers the printer to switch filaments.
