Since several weeks i need to login every 24h to thingiverse. This is very annoying ! I wrote the thingiverse team weeks ago about this, but no answer and no change.
Do you also have this problem ? Creating a remix would keep this "thing" in the loop.
Another topic, but very interesting: A search in thingiverse for "prusa" gives no result at all.
Update:
I got a reply from thingiverse support which explains the recent problems:
thingiverse is made to be used by one device at a time. Meaning, if you login in through device A and after that you do the same through device B, then they will destroy your device A session. I think this "feature" wasn't available 2 months ago.
Modern times indeed.

I have the same issue; I primarily use Chrome browser on my tablet to access Thingiverse daily - it stays logged in indefinitely UNLESS I use my PC, laptop or Phone Chrome browsers to login, then it kicks me out of other device sessions, irrespective of the "remember me" box being checked. The same happens on each other device I use or log in to. My Chrome data is sync'd across all 3 devices with no background cleaners, etc.
It therefore seems to me that although Chrome is sync'd, Thingiverse will kick you off a logged in session if you login via another another device. Often irritating...
It has been several months since I've logged into Thingiverse. I can't say it has ever kicked me out. I'm using Windows 10 Pro x64 and Google Chrome. Check your browser settings, see if it's clearing out your history/cookies/cache etc. etc, you don't want it to clear them automatically for this site. Test different browsers. Do you have perhaps some sort of tasks that runs and clears files like CCleaner? If so, disable it. You can also check your antivirus to see if it has some sort of feature like that. Don't erase your cookies or use private browsing if you want to retain your login; cookies contain your session information.
Thingiverse noticed this thing and asked to provide additional information via email. I dont want to post the mail because of possible confidential issues. Could some of you also provide more on the following topics:
- How often are you kicked out of your session ?
- Which browser are you using ?
- What kind of computer ?
- Do you use private browser tabs for thingiverse ?
- Do you erasing cookies manually or using a plugin that could do that ?
-
Did you check the remember me checkbox ?
Maybe there is a common thing about the problem. I will also point to possible helpful comments in the thing page in my reply-email.
A workaround is to install the "EditThisCookie" plugin for chrome and uncheck the PHPSESSID's "Session" option. It should then retain your login across sessions. I've had this happen on a few other sites around the interweb and this seems to work occasionally (tested it and it seems to be working here too).

I have a similar problem, but the site keeps me logged in for 6 days at a time with the keep me logged in box checked
That is not even in the top 10! The first 9 issues they need to fix are the unreal problem of perusing the THINGS of the day and it skipping backwards about 20 things and totally losing your place. If I didnt really believe in this effort, I would have been out of here months ago over that issue. WHY is it so hard to buffer things at a realistic rate so the user can easily just persuse the last 24 hours without ALL of the aggravation? WOW is this getting old. I wish to GOD I had the answer, but like tens of thousands out there who do not know programming, we are at your mercy. PLEASE fix that first!!
I know this is just a workaround, but it does work...

Yea, same login problem - but only on my desktop unit.
Plus Thingiverse needs update to work with newest IOS.
I always tick "keep me logged in" and yeah, like you I still have to relogin every 25 hours... well... I say that but come to think of it, I didn't have to this morning, so maybe they fixed it?
BTW - Thingiverse never answers anyone. I've been trying to get them to fix - a broken"Download All" issue - https://www.thingiverse.com/groups/thingiverse/forums/site-issues-and-feedback/topic:28133 . Twice I've posted it and not one single screw you or anything else despite others acknowledging the same issue.
i had the same problem but at the bottom where it says remember me i ticked that and now im always on so try that
